FRUIT

A new supermarket has opened near my home,...they had lots of fresh fruit, so instead of buying groceries, I bought fruit....survived the weekend on nothing but fruit! Yum, chilled fruit on a hot, sweaty summer weekend!

GUINESS BOOK CHALLENGE

In traditional summer kimono, or yukata in Nagoya's Central Park, on stand-by for the TV shoot of a Guiness Book attempt, at the most people doing a traditional Japanese dance at once....
Warm up sessions prior to the attempt were filmed.....
and the groups all throughout the city central started dancing,...helicopters overhead filmed the activity, and computers will count the people to see if we broke the world record or not,....

NAGOYA INTERNATIONAL FORUM

MC'ing at the Nagoya International Forum, for the ambassadors and Embassy staff from around the world....
Nagoya's Mayor preferred to talk to me than to address the assembly of dignitaries....

GHOSTLY TV SHOOT

On location for another edition of the TV Aichi Sanji No Tsubo programme....
This next episode features Japanese ghosts and goblins from Nagoya's folklore... as we didn't actually see any, I had to draw the spooks based on local's accounts,... catch the show Tuesday's from 3pm on Channel 25

CAR CRASH

Went to the crash repairers to salvage the bits and pieces left in my car after last months accident. It was the first time I'd seen the car since the crash, and the first time in daylight,..
...She was a mess,...
Luckily the idiot hit us square onto the wheel, if we'd been a little faster, he would have hit us on the door, and I probably would have been injured...
After 13 years of service, my beloved little Rover 216 convertible is no more...

SAMURAI SUMMIT TV

In the Banshoji Temple with Yo Yo Yosuke for the filming of the inserts for the Samurai Summit TV special.
Paying respects at the Oda Family grave behind the Banshoji Temple.... The Oda were the local Samurai warlords of the Nagoya area in the 1500's.
The Samurai Summit TV special was shown 2 weeks after the event....
It's been a busy summer, and from watching myself on TV, I noticed how white I am,...

NATIONAL TV EXPOSURE

On national TV this morning as part of the Samurai Summit,...that's me, (see red arrow) for all of 15 seconds in the national morning show....

Tuesday afternoons from 3pm, it's TV AICHI (Channel 25) and Sanji No Tsubo,... Being shown how to play the Koto Harp on an i-pad by host, Norio Tsuboi...

VEGEMITE

I've been in Japan almost half my life, but there's still some Australian left in me,...still need my fix of Vegemite every now and then,.... Lunchtime!

SCISSORS

For some unknown reason, we seem to have many pairs of scissors at the PPF offices,...can never find a pen when you want one, but there are plenty of scissors.

DREAM BOX FILM FESTIVAL

500 movie fans and movie crew packed the Hilton Ballroom for the short film festival

PPF RADIO DJ SCHOOL

In the PPF studio recording graduation demo tapes with the latest Radio DJ Challenge Course students.. Once again, the Challenge course students did a fine job in getting the background information and training on the radio industry...
Each Challenge Course is limited to 4 students per course. After the 3 month course, we celebrated with dinner at a local restaurant,...
Each of the students received a PPF mug, which they asked be signed.... Next course begins in October!

KIYOSU QUIZ

On stage, in armour again, for the Kiyosu City CBC TV Quiz program, Tensai Quiz...
Over 300 kids took part in the Kiyosu City Town Hall for the history quiz show...
signing hats after the show in the foyer...
With the producer and characters in front of Kiyosu Castle...

THAI TALK SHOW

On stage for a talk show on Thailand
about 500 people came along for the show, which lasted only 45 minutes...

SAMURAI SUMMIT 3

With the Foreign samurai Team, walking the red carpet for the Grand Parade....
During the red carpet walk, we stopped for a photo session with theMayor of Nagoya, Takashi Kawamura in the guise of Tokugawa Muneharu....
The media lined the left side of the road, fans on the left,..it was a great crowd that came to see the samurai parade!
Straight after the parade, I went back to the radio station,...no time to change, so I did my Sunday show in Samurai armour...
And then to an official reception in the International Hotel. Pictured with special guest, the producer of the Civil War Samurai video game....

SAMURAI IN AUSTRALIA 1

The Samurai team are in Melbourne this week as part of the Aichi Prefecture, Victoria State sister State 30th anniversary. Today we're checking out performance locations,...above, Victoria's Parliament House, where we'll be performing for Victoria's Premier and the Governor of Aichi.
Checking out Treasury Gardens in Melbourne, where we'll be performing the samurai pre-war ceremony and firing off antique matchlock guns...
