AICHI GUIDE TALK SHOW 1

Saturday October 2, at Kanayama doing a talk show for the Aichi Guide Network. I'm a director of the group that aims to provide quality guides around Aichi Prefecture for foreign visitors. The first half of the talk show centered on Nagoya and Nagoya Castle in particular...
Part 2 had me in more traditional garb, talking about Japanese Samurai armour....
during the talk, I showed the audience the various pieces, and by putting it on gave them an insight into the armour, it's creation and value to the samurai on the battlefield...
I was able to explain that the armour wasn't usually a uniform, but mostly chosen by the wearer according to their tastes, rank and pocket. .....

AICHI GUIDE TALK SHOW 2

Other topics included the finer points of the Japanese sword..Ha Ha! Finer POINTS!! Get it,...POINTS,...ah, OK,...never mind,... I though it was CUTTING edge humour,... Bit of SHARP wit,..
...and on the Samurai armour itself, and some of the features.
With the leaders of the Aichi Guide Network after the show... Next time, we might actually take everybody on a guided tour of Nagoya Castle...

NEW TV SHOW

NAGOYA FESTIVAL PARADE

This years annual Nagoya Festival parade takes place on the weekend of Oct. 16th and 17th through the streets of Nagoya City, and celebrates the 3 heroes of the Samurai period, Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and the Shogun, Tokugawa Ieyasu. It was partially thanks to this parade that I had a great interest in Nagoya, and I'd always wanted to take part in some way. Every now and then I've done the TV commentary for it, but this year,...
This year,...I'll actually be IN it!!! In armour, on the lead float! Whoo Hoo! Whoo Hooo I say,...and I'd say it again if it wasn't so corny! See you on the 17th on the streets of Samurai City Nagoya!!!

TOKAI WALKER TEAM

With the team from magazine Tokai Walker following a new media contents meeting. Details on this new venture soon!

U-STREAM TEST 1

Oct.3 .. At the new G-Factory Studios for a test U-STREAM broadcast....
Kobayashi San and I went on U-STREAM for about an hour, and with very little publicity, word got around we were On Air, and we managed to get 53 viewers... not bad for a simple non planned test run!
The great thing was, we were able to "chat" to the viewers at the same time, increasing our communication potential. It was rather like 30-something years ago when I was 9 years old, playing Radio DJ's with my school friend Andrew...only this time we're playing TV presenters... If this plan works out, we hope to make it a regular on line program! details soon!

NEW RADIO SHOW

At the 80.3 FM AICHI studios recording my new weekly show, Love & Peace... I don't know why they've termed it Love & Peace,... Sounds better than what I was thinking,... Animal Noises!
Anyway, Saturday afternoons from 3:55pm I get to keep my title of Radio DJ... for now...
