Nov. 2 Arrived in Sydney today with the Samurai team as part of the Nagoya - Sydney Sister City 30th anniversary celebrations. First stop after dumping our gear at the hotel, was the Sydney Fish Market for lunch!
Without a doubt, Aussie seafood is fresh and CHEAP compared to Japan!
Crayfish (lobster) came to about $40 for one about twice to 3 times the size you get in Japan costing about $100! That being the case,...guess what lunch was?
In armour, on location for my weekly TV Aichi show, Sanji No Tsubo history corner. Today's shoot took us to the Western area of Nagoya City, where rooftop shrines remain from the late 1700's Edo Period . Be watching TV Aichi every Tuesday afternoon from 3pm!
On location at one of Nagoya's bigger used car dealers, SuperJumbo for a TV commercial shoot.
My stand-in was only half my size, so he had to hold the mic above his head and stick a hand up to mark my position for the cameras....

Gosh am I becoming domesticated or what!? My kitchen skills and repertoire have expanded by at least 50% !! How's this for breakfast,... a slab of crusty baked bread, opened up, the inner bread is sliced into cubes, oven toasted and served in it's crust dripping with honey!
Went for a haircut today, and the hairdressers were giving away little packs of Halloween cookies to customers as a little treat....
This is after a trick,... the guy who does my hair seems to make a slip every visit,...this time he took off my sideburns!! The 2nd time he took TOO MUCH off the TOP! Some people call him Atsushi, I have another name for him....
Over the last few days I've been working on a TV program designed to entice foreign travelers to Japan. Today's shoot took us to the incredible Toyota Automobile Museum on the outskirts of Nagoya.
This fine museum houses cars from all over the world, and from all eras too! Even if you're not into cars, you'll enjoy this. Ive been here twice now, both times on TV shoots....
