SAMURAI IN SYDNEY

The Japan Armour and Weapons Research and Preservation Society Samurai team are in Sydney as part of the Sydney - Nagoya Sister City 30th anniversary celebrations. While we were in the vicinity of Sydney Harbour Bridge and The Opera House, we decided to get some shots...
One of the great things about coming to Sydney is that its a Samurai Friendly City. By that, I mean, it was easy for us to get into Sydney. We didn't require special permission from the police to import or carry our swords in public.... like we did in Melbourne...
We didn't have strict customs checks like we did in Melbourne,...the police in Sydney barely glanced at us as we wandered through the city and Circular Quay, unlike Victoria, where we weren't permitted to walk the streets.... and were stopped by police on a number of occasions...
Not that I'm upset at Melbourne, I realise that for the sake of public safety it's probably not a good idea to have sword toting Samurai roaming the streets... but all in all, by comparison,....
.....Sydney is a Samurai Friendly City!
