Within the area of the old 2nd citadel, a Kabuki Theatre has been set up. This traditional Japanese playhouse has been created for a month long tour by the famed Nakamura Kabuki Theatre, and featuring the 17th successive Nakamura Kanzaburo.

This is my first time to see a proper kabuki play live. Up till now I've had to contend with televised performances, so I'm realy looking forward to this. Today's show is a comedy about a greedy and wily priest who steals things and cavorts with women, and what happens to him.
