April 21. After a business lunch it was off to a media preview of the new animated movie "Nine"
Touted as a "Tim Burton movie", it seems Mr. Burton was ONE of a number of producers involved in the flick. The story line involves these little doll like creatures that come to life in a post armageddon world. The nature of this animated feature is that it's not intended for kids! It's a little dark, it's a little complicated,...and it's rather bleak. There are at least 3 messages, possibly a fourth, in the movie, but none of the media people who attended could fathom what those messages were....
On the bright side, I ran into fellow DJ Kato Chika,...
...and Harada Satomi at the preview theatre.... Everybody shared the same view about the movie,..."Um,...yesssss....., um,... different,..."
