I've been so busy of late that it didn't feel like X-mas, and it certainly didn't feel like New Years until I had this,... A traditional Japanese New Years dish, Zenzai,... Pounded rice cakes (mochi) with sweet red Azuki beans in a thick, sweet syrup... After a taste of this, it felt like New Years at last.

ZENZAI BANZAI
