MC'ing the Medal Ceremony. Winner of the ITU Ishigaki Triathlon World Cup 2009 was 29 year old Australian Courtney Atkinson of Mackay QLD. It was Courtney's 5th win at Ishigaki Jima, and quite a convincing win too ahead of Russian brothers Ivan and Denis Vasilie. Must admit, it was great hearing the Australian national Anthem, and seeing the Aussie flag raised over the arena.
Mens and womens medalists take to the podium. Gold to Australia and Japan! A really exciting race,...looking forward to next year's event! And to warmer conditions!
