Happy New Year! Jan 5th 1am, at Atsuta Shrine for New Years respects to the gods,... and for business, Hatsu Ebisu, or paying respects to the god of business and commerce.
First paying respects at Japan's second most venerated shrine, Atsuta....
After offering last years good luck charms to the fire,...and warming my frozen hands at the same time,...
I purchased this years charms, votive tablet and a good luck bamboo rake....
And finally from one of the stalls along the entrance way, a chocolate banana. The year is looking good already!

Nice job Chris.
ReplyDeleteI went to Atsuta on the 3rd and the 4th, however I get there 3 times a week on the jog. Great blogging by the way.
Hope things are going well, ever thought about an independent Chubu channel via the web?
Kanpai,
Colin
