Went for a trip to Ise in Mie Prefecture, home of the Samurai Civil War Period theme park currently called Chonmage World,...chonmage being the topknot worn by Samurai...
The parks' entrance way is built like a castle from the 14oo's, complete with lookout manequins posted atop.
From below, they look quite realistic!
Being a life member of the park and honorary mascot, my mug is posted at the gateway in traditional samurai wear... Even I was surprised to see that. I took my kids that day, and I think they were pretty impressed too, especially when the parks' staff in full samurai outfits came up to pay respects and knew me!
