Dec 14, in kimono on the way to the TV Aichi studios for my weekly TV show appearance. Today being the 14th of December, the program will feature the 47 Ronin Incident, or Chushingura, and it's local connections!
As I went to Tokyo recently and to the Chushingura festival, I brought back some Seppuku or Hara-Kiri (ritual suicide) cakes. Apparently they resemble a split-open stomach...
Its said that if you make a great mistake at work, you'll be forgiven if you buy a box of these for the office,...either that or rip your stomach open for forgiveness. I'd rather the cakes.
