QUAKE DAMAGE

Early this morning I finished work at 4 am. At 5:07 am, a large earthquake shook me awake. My home was rocking  east to west, and my cupboard doors flung open.
The quake was centered on Shizuoka Prefecture, adjoining Aichi Prefecture's northern border and about 100Km from Nagoya. A number of people (about 100) were injured by falling objects, and as can be seen here, a section of the wall of the old castle which had stood for over 450 years tumbled into the moat.
It's not just life and property that is damaged by these acts of nature, but history too.
